I know nothing about the Sansui. The Trio KA-9300 is the Japanese domestic version of the Model 600. The phono, tone and amplifier sections are identical. The 9300 has torroidal transformers, a slightly different filter board and a very slightly different power supply board, the difference I assume because the 9300 is a 100VAC model.

Does it?
I owned a 600 for nearly 30 years - sold it in 2009. Six months ago an AU-D11 II fell into my lap and I thought the both of them sounded very similar.
Granted the Model 600 was not available for direct A/B comparison but it's safe to say that thanks to the length of time I owned it, I remember what it sounded like.
If a 9300 has toroidal transformers, as in two, that distinguishes it from a 600 as it had dual conventional transformers.
That Sansui has a single toroidal.

I think i found an owner of both. He can address the comparison thingy between the aud11II and the 9300/600.

O wow. 7300.
It looks ditto to 600.
But does it sound similar too.

Why does the trio 9300 beat the sansui aud11ii?
Because Sansui is overrated and Kenwood underrated.

Ooh! - I don't think the Sansui is overrated actually, it will take some beating. The AU-D11 II is quite a 'finicky' amplifier to get set up properly, and if this isn't right it can apparently get 'beaten' by other amplifiers - but please don't write it off without being sure the example you are comparing with was set up correctly.
I've never heard a '600 or a '9300 but from the look of the hardware for the '9300, it looks to have the makings of a very fine amplifier. I also like the look and overall impression that Trio and Kenwood gear has, I just haven't had the pleasure of exposure to it.

The 600 was a statement piece so it should be able to hold its own.

Haven't had the opportunity to compare, but the 7300 is one fine amplifier. That said, using it as a preamp with my Belles I amplifier was definitely a step in the right direction. But it should be, the Belles was more expensive than the whole integrated amplifier never mind just it's amplifier section.
But this does point out what a great preamp section the KA7300 incorporates.

Another amp vrs. amp. futile opinion post. Identical amps produced with same parts can have a difference, though slight perhaps or grander noticable, Oh yeah we all have access to an acoustic test chamber.. I have one in the garage and the living room, too.

I agree with the remark about a Model 600 being a statement piece.
Probably the main reason I wound up with one in the late 1970's was the review in the UK audio magazine stating it was the best integrated amp they had ever tested.
But that was 40 years ago so I figure there was enough intervening time for Sansui to catch up.

Well That's interesting...
I have both JDMs of Kenwood model 600 and Sansui au D11ii.
Trio ka 9300 & Sansui au D707x.
First of all it is imperative to declare before comparison that both JDMs are more or less same, built wise as well as sonically.
Now the Big question.....
Was it better Engineers ?
I would say No.
It was best of Trio/Kenwood and Sansui D11ii is not the best of Sansui. D11ii has many rivals in its own family.
Both amps are great. D 11ii was first of its kind (X balanced circuit). Kenwood 600 is a marvel of conventional integrated design.
Personal preference always matters. I like em both. Though supreme 600/9300 is more musical, elaborative, revealing and carrying a Sense of relaxed pace. While one wouldn't like to miss the unique highs, Natural n punchy mids and all the thrill that D11ii creates.

Well, I have auditioned the great Sansui 707x but eagerly waiting to compare it with the TRIO, the first TRIO have had auditioned was a charm.

That little Trio ka 6000 is indeed a charm. Its eldest successor and sweetheart of many audiophiles, The Supreme series by Trio/Kenwood is another level.
Trying to trigger ur appetite.
