    Metro is honored to have served as the host transit agency for American Public Transportation Association’s 2024 Sustainability / Operations Planning & Scheduling Workshop, a key event that gathers professionals dedicated to sustainability, operations planning, and scheduling in public transportation.Our team played a pivotal role in the event’s success, delivering the opening session remarks and actively contributing to the educational program, where our staff shared valuable insights into our operations. Our General Manager and CEO, Randy Clarke, deliveredthe keynote address and shared how Metro is working to serve and attract customers and support a greener future. We’re thrilled to offer tours of our system and facilities, showcasing bus priority treatments in D.C. that are improving bus speed, our solar carports project at Metrorail stations generating clean energy for the community, and our state-of-the-art Integrated Command and Communications Center. This workshop is a crucial platform for sharing best practices and advancing the transit industry, with more than 300 attendees joining us this year.
