Mr. Marze died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at his home. Born in Mount Croghan, he was a son of the late Edwin William Sr. and Pauline Rushing Marze.

He retired as SFC E-7 from the U.S. Army after 23 years, having served in World War II, Korea, and during Vietnam. He received two Purple Heart Medals while assigned to First Calvary Division (Infantry) in Korea. Mr. Marze received four Bronze Service Stars during his military career.

He was retired from Ina Bearing.
