In the 24h before I took this picture I was: - Angry because I just spent 1500 euros on our car repair.- Stressed because we have to travel for 2 days straight to reach the NL on time for our next deadline.- Angry because our car brokedown AGAIN. Litterally 12 hours after picking it up from the garage (was a false alarm though).-Sleep deprived since we only got to bed at 01:00. - Worried because I felt like I still had a million bills to pay and no idea how to do it. And yet, I’m smiling. Because I’m slowly starting to realize that set backs are unavoidable. I could choose to remain pissed about all of the above.Or I can choose to accept that it happened, figure out how to solve it, and get back to smiling. I’m realizing that Joy, is a choice.

What were you doing when you were 21? I was probably drunk somewhere in the Netherlands (no i'm not proud of it).Timothy Armoo however, was building an empire which he would later go on to sell for BIG MONEY. I have been following his story for a while now coming from humble beginnings to being a respected name in the content space. A true rags to riches inspiration and something I hope to achieve some day. But for now I wanted to show my admiration in the most authentic way to me possible, by making a podcast trailer of his live podcast with Alfie WhattamThanks, Alfie for this challenge, it was a pleasure! -----------------------------👀 I'm Ryan, founder of content agency The Quarter and i'm traveling Europe in a caravan. 🔥 I talk about content creation, editing, life on the road & entrepreneurship. If that's something you are interested in follow for more!💸 Looking to create a story worth watching? Let's meet!

Hey FIFA,I’m not expecting you guys to become climate activists. I get it there’s too much money involved. But since football is played outside. It’d be good to keep the global temperature at a point where that remains possible wouldn’t you say? A simple way you could do this is by having each group within the group stage in their own city for the 2 weeks that the group stage is happening rather than having the countries (and therewith its fans) travel to a different city every 3 days. Better for the players (no travel).Better for the fans (no travel + more tourism in the city). Better for the world. Doesn’t seem so hard does it? Or am I missing something?

The way that I work, apparently, doesn't work for everyone.Growth at The Quarter has been exceptional over the past months. But if I want to continue this growth I will need a A* team to help me build it. And more importantly I’ll need to learn how to manage that team! So far I’ve made some classic beginner manager mistakes in assuming that my way is the highway. Luckily, my team is honest and showed me that it is in fact not. Here are three questions that I'm asking my interns so we can create an environment that works best for everyone.1) What times do you work best?2) How much guidance do you want? ↪ Do you want me to help you through the process? ↪ Do you want complete freedom?3) What do you enjoy doing? And how can we maximize that? The last question, obviously, there's always going to be parts that suck. That's just the reality of, well, anything. But if we can maximize the parts that the person loves, then 80% of the time the person will love their work. And a happy team = a happy life.

One of my most asked questions is “What will our workflow look like when working with “the Quarter”?” So here it goes:Stage 1: ↪ You deliver me the footage and I get to work on selecting the best segments to create a cohesive story (like a podcast or a vlog). This then gets sent back to you on which you can give feedback if you agree with the segments or not. Stage 2: ↪ After approval I then go back and add all of the details: the music, the b-roll, the text, the sound effects, etc. and really make it into something of value. This then gets sent back to you once its final!Stage 3:↪ Lastly, I then go back to the clients for final approval. If there is feedback, then we obviously finalize before it goes online. But typically, we don't have a second round of feedback round though (which yes is a subtle brag).

Is it me or is the word “specialize” misunderstood? I receive a lot of sales dm that say something along the lines of “I’m josh, agency owner who specializes in (insert long list of things like social media management, seo etc). Doesn’t the word specialize imply that you’re really good at one thing? I’ve never seen a doctor who has a speciality in plastic surgery and heart surgery and brain surgery and if I did I’m not so sure I’d trust him. Anybody else?

What a start! We grew our client The Privileged Man Podcast - Subscriber count with 80%, - Views +1250% - Engagement rate +3000% in the first 7 days all with 3 simple but powerful changes! 1) Eye-catching thumbnails. The key to a good thumbnail? Kill your Darlings. Decide whats essential and only use that. Also apply the rule of thirds for a balanced thumbnail design. 2) Emotion-provoking titles. One of the main reasons videos flop (in my experience) is because they dont make you feel anything. This is the worst thing you can do.3) RelevancyIn many ways we may have just had excellent timing but with the election coming up, we deliberately timed this podcast to come out before others in order to leverage the added interest in this subject. Its been a killer start to us managing the post-production of the podcast. Thanks again to Pete Hunt for the trust. Im excited to see how much further we can push this!

We're six months into 2024 which is officially, halfway through the year❗️On December 31st 2023, I sent this message. So, I figured I’d reflect on how the getting is going (sorry this is about to get braggy😅.- I’ve racked up 3,8 million views (+) for my clients.- Landed 10 clients in 6 months.- I started writing my book on the Quarter Life crisis.- I have scaled to a full time team of three (+ freelancers).- My social channels hit 3000 on Instagram, 500 on YouTube and 437 on TikTok (in just two months of posting).- I set off in my caravan and I’m currently traveling through Europe. All of this while still managing to make fixed time for being a dad👨🏼🍼.I’m the type of person who just moves the goalposts further.I never really feel any sense of accomplishment but just a slight relief that it’s done.I’m trying to change that.I'm so excited to see what the rest of the year holds, but I’m certain there are some highlights still to come (Tomorrowland, see you soon😉).
